- Grand Opening: The iconic Museum, led by His Highness Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, opened its doors to the public on the 22nd of February, 2022 – a date etched as 22.2.22!
- Architectural Marvel: Designed by Killa Designs, the museum boasts an impressive oval shape. It utilized computer-controlled machining tools to craft 1,000 molds supporting a frame of fiberglass and stainless steel.
- Green Oasis: Delving into sustainability, the museum is powered by 4,000 megawatts of solar energy, aiming for the prestigious Platinum Certification for Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design. The lush garden, featuring over 100 plant species, reflects the rich heritage of the UAE.
- Artistic Touch: The exterior is adorned with 14 kilometers of Arabic calligraphy, skillfully designed by Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej, showcasing iconic quotes from Sheikh Mohammed.
- Immersive Experience: Visitors embark on a unique journey, starting with an elevator ride to a makeshift space station. Faced with the Earth’s illness, each guest assumes a role (doctor, teacher) and unravels global problems, providing an immersive and educational encounter.
- Futuristic Technologies: Ever wondered about mind-reading implants or weight loss pills? The museum showcases prototypes of these futuristic technologies in the Tomorrow and Today exhibition, exploring responses to today’s urgent challenges.
- Renewable Energy from the Moon: An exciting exhibition explores the transformation of the moon into a renewable energy source for our planet, offering visitors a glimpse into an imaginative and sustainable future.
